Dr. Nemishh Mehta and Dr. Shilpa Mehta proudly announce that Bear Internal Medicine and Pediatrics is joining Advocare effective February 1, 2025!
Advocare is a regional, independent, physician-owned medical organization that delivers exceptional healthcare across a wide range of specialties, established in 1998.
This transition improves the viability of a small practice like ours to continue to thrive in the current healthcare landscape, at a time when many similar practices have closed their doors. We will continue to have the strong bonds with the families we are privileged to serve. Most importantly, our practice remains intact, still independently owned as we have been for over 20 years, still directing our own practice philosophy and goals.
Benefits of this transition for our patients and our practice include:
- Same practice ownership and location, still the same physicians
- Same electronic medical records system/Patient Portal (eClinicalWorks)
- Same insurance panel with possible increase in the number of insurance companies with which we contract
- New after-hours nurse triage service
- Some centralized operations including billing and medical records support
Important Billing and Medical Records Information
Our new website will include much more information than the previous website, including a menu of resources that we believe our patients will find helpful.
Our practice will be transitioning to a new billing system with this change. Any questions regarding your patient bill for care prior to 2/1/2025 should still be referred to our office directly. For questions related to bills with dates of service on/after 2/1/2025 please contact billing services at (856) 221-2700.
